Naxos fishermen catch a giant tuna fish in the Aegean

first_imgGreek fishermen on Naxos caught a giant tuna fish, the biggest to be seen in the Aegean in recent years. They proudly hung the fish onto the mast of their boat at Naxos reports that the residents of Naxos were amazed by the size of the tuna and gathered to the fishing boat owned by the Makarounas brothers, fishermen from the island of Kalymnos.The Makarounas brothers are known for their great skills as fishermen and their reputation goes beyond the borders of Greece.READ MORE: Photo of two cats enjoying the sunset on Naxos goes viral The tuna weighs 288 kilos and is 2.74 metres long.
